Merry Christmas

Tomorrow is my Chinese calendar’s birthday 11.14. It is funny how we have western calendar, Chinese calendar, Muslim calendar, Japanese calendar, and other existing calendars. Needless to say, God has His own calendar! He says one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day (2 Peter 3:8).

Christmas songs have been resounding everywhere, from radio to malls, restaurants to home, as the call of the morning sun. It is a reminder of the birth of the King and the Lord of all. Nevertheless, I do not understand why people around started to change ‘Merry Christmas’ to ‘Happy Holiday.’ They said, we had to respect the choice of other people and we must not offend other religions. Sniff! It is like calling “Zoë” – a human, a girl, or a walking creature. As if making ‘Zoë’ lost her personality, character, and whom she really is would contribute a better mean to the society because ‘Zoë’ will never again offend anyone and make her respect the freedom of choice. This is a crime of neutralizing or erasing the true identity of oneself.

I prefer to be MYSELF and Jesus is the King and the Lord of All!! So I wish you all – “MERRY CHRISTMAS”!!
